I have been involved in education for 20+ years (where did that time go?!) and am currently as principal of the Sun West Distance Learning Centre, a K-12 online school in Saskatchewan. My experiences as a classroom teacher, Lead Technology teacher, Learning Coach, and Educational Consultant, have allowed me to explore innovative ways to improve student learning with learners of all ages. I have been fortunate to lead the 21st Century Educator Learning Series (self-directed online PD for teachers) as well as an action research project on blended learning in the K-12 classroom. I also had the opportunity to be a sessional lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan, working with undergrad education students in an inquiry course on 21st Century Teaching and Learning. Most often you will find me with my #brainonfire, connecting with educators who are passionate about teaching and learning. I look forward to connecting ideas with you :)
