Redesigning and Rethinking the Factory School

I would like to share with you our journey from “a factory school” model where students sat in rows of desks listening to teacher directed lessons, to a “blended model” where students have flexibility in their learning and environment. Over the past 2 years we have reinvented our school in all areas. We have created a flexible learning space that encourages students to self-regulate. We redesigned our school timetable so that is flexible, adding a “just in time” learning block and afternoon inquiry projects with an emphasis on virtual reality technologies. We will share not only our milestones but our failures as well!
