As an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Distance Education at Athabasca University, Dr. Connie Blomgren has been the project lead in the Blended and Online Learning and Teaching (BOLT) initiative, a professional learning partnership with the Alberta Distance Learning Centre. As an innovative response to in-service teacher learning needs, BOLT strengthens teachers’ digital competencies and their digital pedagogy. She recently oversaw the development of podcasts and videos that multiply the effect of Open Educational Resource awareness and use by Canadian educators. These media have open licensing and are available at the multi-authored BOLT blog.
